A good breakfast is essential to start the day, even if it’s not always possible to enjoy a hearty one.
3D illustration is the art of telling stories through geometry, pixels, and algorithms. It’s the art that captivated me back in high school, but one that I drifted away from for quite some time due to professional frustrations.
Creating 3D artwork requires inspiration, patience, and a great deal of study. Because of that, I often wake up inspired by a particular idea and waste no time opening my MacBook to begin arranging geometry inside my favorite 3D software. That’s how the illustration above came to life. It’s not a photograph or a video game screenshot—just me having fun the way I used to.
These illustrations are like exercises—daily stretches that keep my creative muscles active and ensure I’m always ready to deliver my best work for ALUF Pictures’ clients.
For many years, people asked me to teach a course on 3D illustration. So, after spending several years immersed in books once again, I created the SAVE.3D Workshop to help others create their own illustrations.
These are images that may not seem to say much at first glance, yet they carry a great deal of truth beneath the surface.
It’s good to be back.
